Mazda will roll out an all-new 2017 CX-5 next month during the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 16.

The brand has released a teaser image of the crossover, saying that its technology and design have been refined. Though details are hard to pick out, expect the CX-5 to borrow some of its new looks from the larger CX-9 which was redesigned this year.

Mazda is trying to move away from small, budget-minded cars, and the CX-5 will reflect that push with new premium features and materials.

Under the hood, the same naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as the current model uses is expected to be offered, but there is also speculation that the brand will fit its new turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine to top-trim models.

Mazda says that LA will also play host to the world premiere of a new Mazda Prototype race car.
