BMW has revived its branded content brainchild, BMW Films, with the release of The Escape, a mini-action thriller starring Clive Owen, Dakota Fanning, Jon Bernthal and the BMW 5 Series.

Without further ado:

And if you didn’t get a chance to check out the behind-the-scenes preview and need some more Clive Owen in your daily fix, here you go:

BMW Films originally launched “The Driver” series of mini-action movies in 2001 with Ambush, which was followed by seven more short films with Clive Owen in the role of Driver for hire over the next couple years, directed by and co-starring a variety of Hollywood luminaries.

Clive Owen, Dakota Fanning Star in New BMW Films: The Escape

While The Escape doesn’t offer any surprises or twists like Star, it’s a quick fix of car-chase action without having to sit through things like ‘plot’ and ‘character development’. Directed by Neill Blomkamp, whose previous directing credits include District 9 and Elysium, it quickly puts the new 2017 540i front and center at the hands of Clive Owen, shuttling Dakota Fanning to safety, eluding bad-guy extraordinaire Jon Bernthal.

Tell us what you think of this latest instalment in the comments.
