This is the Lynk & Co 02 sedan.

Last year, Chinese automaker Geely introduced a new brand called Lynk & Co, along with the 01 hybrid SUV that could be heading to the U.S. Now, spy photographers have caught the Chinese automaker’s second car testing, which for now is called the 02. Geely also owns Volvo, so Lynk & Co is building its vehicles on the same Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) that was co-developed by Geely and Volvo.

Spied testing in southern Europe, the Lynk & Co 02 sedan is a bit like a Volvo S40 with a different body, but it should share quite a bit with the S40 once it debuts. Up front, there’s similar styling as the 01 that debuted, sporting lights up near the front fenders while the headlights sit lower in the bumper.

Expect to see the Lynk & Co 02 debut in late 2017 with deliveries starting in China next year. No word on whether Lynk & Co will officially enter the U.S. market, but expect to see its vehicles being sold in Europe by 2019.
