The 592 horsepower Jaguar XE SV Project 8 will cost nearly $200,000 when it goes on sale later this year.

The wild super sedan, which will make its first in-person appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, will be limited to just 300 units, each of them costing $192,200 USD. That lumps the unhinged four-door in with supercars in regards to pricing, with the McLaren 570S and Porsche 911 Turbo S selling for essentially the same sum.

While $200k is certainly a lot for a high-performance compact sedan, the Project 8 delivers the goods. In addition to that rip-snorting 5.0-liter supercharged V8, there’s also a carbon fiber rear bumper, an adjustable front splitter, a huge rear wing, carbon ceramic brakes, adjustable dampers and F1-inspired silicon nitride ceramic wheel bearings. With Jag’s all-wheel drive system at work, it will scoot from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and go on to top out at 200 mph. It might cost supercar cash, but it has supercar specs.

The fun continues inside with bucket seats with ‘Project 8’ embroidery and carbon fiber trim. All cars destined for North America will be four-seat models but in select European markets, customers can spec a much more hardcore cabin with carbon fiber racing seats up front and a roll cage where the rear seats would typically go.

You can catch the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 running up the hill climb course at Goodwood this weekend before deliveries commence later this year.
