How Do You Feel About a 1,000-HP Jeep?

The sick, twisted minds at Hennessey Performance want to sell you a 1,000 horsepower Jeep.

The 707-horsepower 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the latest monster machine to take a trip through the company’s Sealy, Texas, shop where the wick gets turned way up on the 6.2-liter supercharged V8.

To make a Trackhawk HPE1000, Hennessey swapped out the Grand Cherokee’s factory installed 2.3-liter supercharger for a gargantuan 4.5-liter unit which stuffs the cylinders with 14 psi of boost. Next, it gets a set of stainless steel long tube headers, new fuel injectors, a new high-pressure fuel pump, high-flow air intake, plus new engine management software and dyno calibration. Hennessey says the package is good for an absurd 1,012-hp and an even more ridiculous 969 lb-ft of twist.

If that’s too much hot sauce for your liking, Hennessey also has the less powerful Trackhawk HPE850. It keeps the stock supercharger but swaps the lower pulley for a new one, along with a new high-flow air intake and tweaked engine management software. The package is good for 852- hp and 845 pounding feet of torque.

The packages are almost a carbon copy of similar HPE1000 and HPE850 upgrades the company already offers to Dodge Charger and Challenger customers. Interested parties should get in touch with Hennessey for pricing information and expected turnaround time.
