This is the Porsche 911 GT2 RS of Xbox Controllers
If you’ve spent the last week or so tearing up the Forza 7 pre-release demo and are twiddling your thumbs waiting for the full version to drop on October 3rd, we have some good news for you.
Custom gaming controller company Scuf has partnered with Forza and Microsoft to develop the Porsche 911 GT2 RS-inspired Xbox Elite controller. The gamepad is covered with the same Alcantara material found in the cabin of the GT2 RS and has some other unique features such as a Porsche badge, a ‘911 GT2 RS’ logo and Forza logos.
“The Scuf Forza Elite features fine attention to detail, hand-built at our facilities in Atlanta where it is geared and tested for performance,” Scuf co-founder Duncan Ironmonger said in a statement. “In 2011, we challenged how controllers were built, creating a new market for high-performance controllers by adding features to increase hand use and improve gameplay. This new limited-edition controller continues that tradition. It’s a tribute to fans of Forza, Porsche, and Scuf. It could not have become a reality without these three premium brands coming together.”

The controller will go on sale on October 7th – shortly after Forza 7’s arrival. It will retail for a very expensive $299.95, but it doesn’t stop there. You can also order the controller as a bundle, which comes with interchangeable parts and a 911 GT2 RS scale model and will cost you $365. The controller will be limited to just 2,000 units, while Scuf will make just 500 of the bundles. At that price point, you should just buy a force feedback wheel. You’ll be thankful you did.
