Lexus LC500 Wins 2018 AutoGuide.com Reader's Choice Luxury Car of the Year Award

Luxury sedans have typically claimed the AutoGuide.com Reader’s Choice Luxury Car of the Year Award, but things are different this year.

The beautiful bodylines of the Lexus LC500 was too hard to overlook for our readers this year, who selected the coupe as their Luxury Car of the Year. And we won’t even try to argue with our readers on this one, considering the LC500 has the performance to go along with its stunning good looks. Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V8 engine that is also found in the GS F and RC F models, delivering 471 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. All that is wrapped up in a familiar Lexus package inside the cabin, with plenty of luxury pouring out of every corner.

The price of admission is a bit steep however, with the LC500 starting from $92,995 including destination.

With six different vehicle categories voted for in this year’s 2018 Reader’s Choice Awards, Kia took home the coveted title of Reader’s Choice Car of the Year with the all-new Stinger. The Ford GT earned itself Reader’s Choice Exotic Car of the Year, while the Porsche 911 GT2 RS was named Reader’s Choice Sports Car of the Year. The Mazda CX-5 grabbed top honors for Reader’s Choice Utility Vehicle of the Year, joined by the Volvo XC60 with the win in the Reader’s Choice Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year category. Lastly, the AutoGuide.com 2018 Reader’s Choice Luxury Car of the Year goes to the Lexus LC500.
