Volvo XC60 Wins 2018 AutoGuide.com Reader's Choice Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year Award

The Volvo XC60 has been named the 2018 AutoGuide.com Reader’s Choice Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year.

This year, we saw plenty of new entries in the luxury utility vehicle segment, as more and more automakers churn out crossovers and SUVs for the North American market. The Volvo XC60 stands out from the crowd with its stylish design and high-tech features, along with a nice selection of powertrain options. There’s the T5 turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, or the supercharged and turbocharged T6 with 316 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Those looking for maximum performance can opt for the T8 model, which is a plug-in hybrid powertrain with total system output of 400 hp and 472 lb-ft of torque.

With six different vehicle categories voted for in this year’s 2018 Reader’s Choice Awards, Kia took home the coveted title of Reader’s Choice Car of the Year with the all-new Stinger. The Ford GT earned itself Reader’s Choice Exotic Car of the Year, while the Porsche 911 GT2 RS was named Reader’s Choice Sports Car of the Year. The Mazda CX-5 grabbed top honors for Reader’s Choice Utility Vehicle of the Year, joined by the Volvo XC60 with the win in the Reader’s Choice Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year category. Lastly, the AutoGuide.com 2018 Reader’s Choice Luxury Car of the Year goes to the Lexus LC500.
