It’s no secret that crossovers and SUVs are selling like crazy, giving automakers a good reason to spawn more variants.

BMW has taken advantage of the trend more than its German counterparts, filling its lineup with coupe SUVs in the form of the X2, X4, and X6. Mercedes has slowly caught up to BMW with the introduction of the GLC Coupe, while Audi will likely be adding its version of a coupe SUV with the Q6.

Slotted between the Q5 and the Q7, the Q6 will offer buyers a sleeker model that’s closely related to the Q5. It’s believed that it will come to market with electrified powertrains, including a fully battery-electric version that has been previewed with the E-Tron Quattro Concept.

Previewed recently at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the Audi E-Tron Quattro Concept is being described as a “sporty SUV” and should be heading to dealerships early next year. It’s likely Audi will make an official announcement on the Q6 sometime before the end of this year.

I like these coupe styled SUV's/ raised hatchbacks or whatever you want to call them. Just wish the mainstream manufacturers would build them other than just these lux brands (GLC, Q6, X4,etc). AWD and extra ground clearance will help sell any sedan, hatchback or wagon...
