The 2019 Nissan Altima Edition One was shown for the first time today, offering a high-end concierge service to customers of the mainstream brand.

Setting the Altima Edition One apart from standard versions of the sedan are exclusive 19-inch wheels, a subtle rear spoiler, illuminated kick plates, Edition One badging and Edition One floor mats. It’s based on the range-topping Altima Platinum VC-Turbo, which already comes with leather upholstery, a Bose stereo, a moonroof and ProPILOT assist semi-autonomous tech.

The true draw of the Edition One, however, is the availability of Nissan’s new concierge service. This gives users the ability to contact a 24/7 live assistant, who will make dinner reservations or purchase event tickets, for example. The service will be free of charge to all Edition One owners for the first three years of ownership.

Nissan is also offering a choice of boujee gifts to Edition One buyers. These include the choice of an Amazon Echo Show plus an Amazon Prime membership, a Bose Soundlink Revolve plus an Amazon Echo Dot and Amazon Prime membership, or a Series 3 Apple Watch. The gifts are redeemable seven days after purchase.

Under the hood is Nissan’s VC-Turbo engine, which makes 243 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. The four-cylinder is paired with a CVT automatic transmission and available all-wheel drive.

The Edition One will be available in Scarlet Ember, Pearl White and Super Black exterior colors.

Nissan is opening the order books for the limited edition Altima on June 15th. The order books for regular, non-Edition One Altimas will also open that day. Customers who preorder any 2019 Altima will get the choice of receiving an Amazon Echo Spot, a Bose Soundlink Revolve and Amazon Echo Dot, or wireless Apple AirPod headphones.

We reached out to Nissan for pricing on the 2019 Altima Edition One and will update this story once we hear back.

"Gifts"...it would probably be cheaper to buy a better car, and your own "gifts". How many Altima owners are just so busy running companies that they can't be bothered buying their own opera tickets, and need a concierge to do it? None.
