The BMW 8 Series is been teased one last time ahead of its debut at Le Mans in France today.

The German automaker released an image of the new grand tourer sitting in the background as its M8 GTE racecar occupies the foreground. BMW has opted to debut the new 8 Series at the Circuit de la Sarthe in France later today, one day before the start of the 86th running of the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans on Saturday. The race will be the first 24 Hours of Le Mans for the new-for-2018 M8 GTE race car.

A variety of engines will be offered in the new 8 Series, but the staple of the lineup will be BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, which will be found in the M850i xDrive model and the more performance-focused M8.

The vehicle will also debut BMW’s new digital instrument cluster, which was previewed in April of this year. A leak of the vehicle’s interior (below) showed the digital instrument cluster, along with a widescreen center stack display. Not surprisingly, the interior appears similar to the 2018 BMW M5’s.

Full details on the BMW 8 Series will become available shortly. Stay tuned.
