Tesla Model 3 Wins AutoGuide.com 2019 Reader's Choice Car of the Year
The Tesla Model 3 has been voted as the winner of AutoGuide.com’s 2019 Reader’s Choice Car of the Year.
As Tesla’s most affordable car to date, the Model 3 had a difficult start to the year, but that didn’t seem to affect how the compact electric sedan impressed our readers.
“The Tesla Model 3 really pushes the envelope not just for electric cars, but cars in general,” says Jodi Lai, AutoGuide.com Editor-in-Chief. “Even though Tesla had production and quality issues, it didn’t take away from how impressive the final product was.”

The Tesla Model 3 beat out other front-runners like the Genesis G70, Mercedes A-Class, Mazda6, Nissan Altima, and Toyota Avalon.
Congratulations, Tesla! We would like to thank all those who voted! A winner for the $500 Amazon gift card was picked randomly and notified.

Really wanted the G70 to win
well, considering what actual cars were on the list, I personally didn't think there was any one clear standout winner. I guess it's nice a pseudo affordable car "won" the AG BCOTA, but w/o percentages of votes to see, we don't know if its margin of victory narrow or wide. [ I would like to see the percentage breakdown for ALL cars in ALL of the categories; to 'legitimize' the survey ] . Again, I only half-believe what AG publishes and take it, along w/a grain of salt and form my own conclusions with information from other sources as well.
