Chevrolet Equinox EV To Start At $34,995
The Chevrolet Equinox EV is open for business.
GM may have readjusted its EV sales goals, but that doesn’t mean, it's completely stropped investing or developing its EV products. Chevrolet just announced that the Equinox EV is open for bookings. Dealers can place orders for the model starting in late November.
However, the only two models initially available for order, will be the well-equipped upper trim 2RS models starting at $48,995 for the FWD model, and $52,995 for the AWD model. Eventually, Chevrolet plans to offer a base trim starting at $34,995. Interestingly, the FWD Equinox is rated for 319 miles of range, well above the initial 250-mile target. All Equinox EVs will come with the same battery pack of undisclosed size. The range of the AWD model hasn't been confirmed yet, but Chevrolet's goal is 280 miles of range.
If Chevrolet can truly manage to stay true to this price point, then the Equinox sounds like a hit. At the standard price of $34,995, and a range of 319 miles the Equinox EV undercuts lots of compact EV crossovers, like the VW ID.4, the Ford Mustang Mach-E, or the Hyundai Kona Electric. It goes substantially farther than those three cars, for a lot less money. With numbers like that, it's easy to see why Chevrolet has 200,000 preorders.
It's not quite clear when the Equinox EV will officially be on dealer lots, nor when the more affordable versions of the crossover will reach the public. Chevrolet says the Equinox EV will go on sale in 2024, but the cheaper versions might not hit dealer lots until nearly 2025.

as i said years ago, the $30,000 price point was unattaimable for a product not even built and from a company that is on its 4th Generation of EV's in 15yrs. Remember when the Volts motor was only supposed to be a battery Charger and not drive the wheels. This 4th Genration of EV's is so Super Secret that we still do not know anything about it other than its all new and it is called Ultium and it is going to change the EV world. It was announced and shown as concept in January of 2022 going to debut in Fall of 2023 and the Everybody model was coming in spring of 2024.
Looks Like Mary is the one that keeps talking. If she isn't carelful Elon's Cybertruk will be on the rode before Silverado.
