One of the fan favorites competing at this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb won’t make it to the main event after a tragic accident has destroyed Cody Loveland’s Acura NSX.

Honda announced a recall today affecting over 13,000 Acura RSX compact cars and roughly 5,000 Honda S2000 sports cars.

Acura has just taken the wraps off of the 2013 TL Special Edition, which brings the car some appearance upgrades and a boost in technology. 

Although Acura’s vice president of national sales has said that the TSX will remain in the lineup for “for the foreseeable future,” poor European sales and model overlap may force the company to ditch the TSX.

To creatively paraphrase NSX chief engineer Ted Klaus, the upcoming Acura supercar will be like a Nissan GT-R, but built for drivers.

Exactly what does that mean? In essence it will deliver truly world-class performance without an ultra-exotic price tag. It also will maintain the brand’s core man-machine synergy principle.

Hoping to boost sales, Acura has revealed its 2014 model year ILX adding a host of new standard features to provide more content and value for its entry-level sedan.
