The Chrysler 300 sedan is a stylish, rear-wheel-drive, full-size retort to mundane four-door offerings like Honda’s Accord or the Toyota Camry. Since this historical nameplate was reintroduced back in 2005, it’s brought more passion to the segment than most of its competitors put together.

Chrysler’s award-winning Pentastar V6 has received a number of significant upgrades for 2016. These enhancements improve torque output, efficiency and even a reduced weight.

“When it drives down the road you’re going to see this thing,” said Al Gardner during his opening remarks at the media drive of the new 2015 300. The Chrysler brand’s president and CEO isn’t kidding; this sedan’s grille is roughly a third larger than the outgoing version’s.

Chrysler is recalling over 900,000 vehicles worldwide because of defects that could cause fires.

Chrysler is extending the warranty on one of its most popular engines.

The Pentastar V6 engine is so popular that Ram will be adding it as an option to its higher-trim models.

Chrysler offers its Pentastar V6 engine in a range of products from mid-size sedans right up to pickup trucks, and the brand is celebrating building 300 million of these V6 engines. 

Chrysler has partnered with Michigan-based clothing manufacturer Carhartt on a special-edition 200 S sedan. This 2013.5 model is meant to represent blue-collar values and hard work, just like the two companies involved in its creation.

Dodge is bringing a touch of style to the seven-passenger vehicles in its lineup. Starting a little later this year Grand Caravan, Durango and Journey buyers will have the option of ordering a unique “Blacktop” package on these vehicles, which adds a healthy dose of design flair without breaking the bank.

Dodge just announced its 2013 Charger AWD Sport models — a mechanically mild update that offers value by bundling previously separate options.

Speaking at a media event in Detroit today Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed suspicions that there will be more versions of the company’s award-winning Pentastar V6.

Set to go on sale this fall, Chrysler has announced plans to offer a special “Glacier: edition of its 300 sedan. 

Two years ago the first Pentastar V6 engine rolled off the line. The person who made it might not have known, but that engine was the first of what would prove to be one of the best engines in the world.

For 2012 the Ram 1500 pick-up will get an all-new base V6 engine, replacing the current unit with more power and improved fuel economy. According to a tweet by Ward’s Auto, Chrysler powertrain boss Paolo Ferrero has confirmed the Ram will get the new corporate Pentastar V6 next year.
