Racing is the genesis of much of the technology we have on today’s street cars, whether its traction control of paddle-shift gearboxes. Episode 8 of the Corvette Racing Series delves into this phenomenon, which program members call “Cascade Engineering”.

The program shows how data gleaned through the race program filters down to the street cars. From changes as significant as fixed headlamps to minor things like brake ducting, the ALMS program not only helps the engineers build a better Corvette, but also improve GM’s race programs in series like NASCAR and Grand-Am.
