Subaru has just announced that it will debut yet another new model next week, although this latest reveal will be a concept, with the unveiling taking place at the Shanghai Auto Show.

The XV concept, says Subaru in a release, “blends practicality with fashionable form, fun and comfort” and will deliver “genuine crossover ability”, thanks in part to the brand’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system.

While Subaru won’t explicitly say as much, the car is believed to be a higher-riding version of the Impreza, with an Impreza XV currently offered in several markets throughout the world.

While the teaser image certainly doesn’t show much, look for flared fenders and a more Outback-like exterior appearance.

After its debut on April 18th, Subaru will unveil the 2012 Impreza sedan and hatchback at the New York Auto Show two days later.
