In a seemingly unprecedented move, Toyota has released pricing on the all-new 2012 Yaris… before they’ve even revealed the car.

Expected to look nearly identical to the Euro-market model (above), the Yaris will start at $14,115 for the base model 3-door version, while 5-door models will start from $15,140. A 5-door SE model will get a sport-tuned suspension and start from $16,400 for the manual transmission and $17,200 for the automatic.

As for what those transmission are, you’re in for an unpleasant surprise. While most automakers have pushed on to 6-speeds, Toyota will continue to offer the Yaris with not a 5-speed, but a 4-speed automatic. The manual will also continue on as a 5-speed unit.

Toyota does, however, say the 2012 Yaris will gain roughly $1,000 worth of standard equipment compares to the 2011 model.

An on-sale date has not yet been listed, but the 2012 Yaris will go into production on August 31st.
