One of the most hotly anticipated debuts of the upcoming Geneva Motor Show has leaked onto the web. Called the Emerg-E, the concept car is a look at a future halo model for the Infiniti brand.

Details about the car are not yet available but Infiniti has previously announced it will be powered by an electric motor, using a gasoline range extender. And as the photos clearly show, it’s a mid-engine layout, designed for maximum performance and ideal weight balance.

Might be a lotus. This sounds very much like the Lotus Evora 414E from 2010. That was a mid engined range extended electric car powered by a 1.2 litre 3 cylinder engine just like this. It's also worth remembering that the 414e came out of the british government's REEVolution program which also involved nissan. Also, according to the Lotus proactive magazine, lotus will in geneva again this year.
