2016 Audi R8 Leaked Ahead of Geneva Motor Show Debut

You’re getting your first look at the 2016 Audi R8 before it officially debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
While we’ve seen spy photos of the new Audi R8 in the past, this is the first time an image has leaked showing it off in production form without any camouflage. As one of the most anticipated debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the 2016 Audi R8 looks to get a much more angular front end and noticeably missing are the sports car’s characteristic side blades.

The next-generation R8 will share its platform with the Lamborghini Huracán and is rumored to come standard with a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with around 460 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Those looking for a good ‘ol V10 will get to choose from two power outputs with the lesser 5.2-liter V10 pushing out 540 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque while the more powerful option will have 600 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. Also expect the R8 to be about 130 lbs lighter than its predecessor when it bows early next month.
