The current generation Hyundai Sonata stunned the midsize-sedan segment, and the upcoming 2013 model is looking to expand upon its predecessor’s reputation for value. This means the new model will be equipped with more standard features and options for 2013.

Among those features, the Sonata GLS with the Popular Equipment Package now adds fog lights and heated front seats. The Sonata SE now comes standard with heated front seats and the Sonata Limited comes standard with a traditional sunroof, while a panoramic sunroof is part of the Limited Premium Package.

As usual, hands-free bluetooth is standard on the Sonata, and all models come with three months of XM Satellite Radio.

Styling for the 2013 Hyundai Sonata hasn’t changed dramatically, the sedan still features the company’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language. Engines are also carried over from last years models: there are two 4-cylinder engines, a 2.4-liter featuring 198 hp in and the other, a turbocharged 2.0-liter packing 274 horsepower. The Sonata will also be available as a gas-electric hybrid.
