Rumor has is that McLaren’s new supercar will make around 1,000 hp, and before it debuts in the flesh at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the company has dropped a new video teaser showing off some of the car’s curves.

The P12 is apparently going to use a KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) system, added to the 3.8-liter V8 from the MP4-12C. It is now believed that the P12 will have 803-hp from its powerplant at an impressive 9100 rpm, while the KERS electric assist will add an additional 160 hp. Weight savings have also been a factor, as the company says that the new supercar will weigh less than 2,700 lbs.

Despite the high power numbers, apparently the car is really supposed to shine when it comes to handling thanks to it’s aerodynamics.
