Initial spy photos of Mercedes’ latest AMG-built C-Class emerged today to show the 5.5-liter twin-turbo bearing beast being tested.

Information on the car is still scarce, but the pictures show its wider finders and front bumper with large air intakes along with the big brake calipers synonymous with AMG performance.

While performance figures are understandably undisclosed, the engine will likely make slightly less than the current E63 AMG’s 518 hp and 516 lb-ft.

Regardless of being a de-tuned version to account for the price gap, the car will have significantly more torque than the 2012 model’s 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 thanks to its assumed twin-turbo system.

Expect pictures with less and less camouflage as the car’s debut draws closer along with quad exhaust pipes poking from the rear.
