MINI Cooper Five-Door Spied Testing

The latest in MINI’s barrage of less-than-original new models was spied testing today wearing lots of black-and-yellow camouflage.

Meant to compete against the Audi A1 Sportback, MINI is adding yet another variant to its increasingly homogenous product line. While its common practice to put contour-hiding vinyl on all almost all new car nether regions, it’s hard not think this one’s a little silly.

It’s going to look like a MINI. In other words, boxy, British and boldly polarizing. Don’t expect anything exciting from what is essentially a five-door version of the Clubman.
