The 2014 BMW Gran Coupe just made its world premier during the 2013 Detroit Auto Show and AutoGuide.com spent a few minutes taking a closer look.

With the same 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque coming from its twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is about joining high performance with plush luxury. The car reaches 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, which is a little slower than the 2014 Audi RS7 also on display at this years show.

Despite that, the BMW does much the same thing in a more conservative package that keeps most of the carbon fiber on the inside – except for the roof panel which accents the car without looking busy or contrived.
