Bentley 'Falcon' SUV to Get New Styling

Despite reports to the contrary, Bentley is planning design changes to its upcoming SUV model if and when it is approved for production.

Believed to wear the name ‘Falcon’ the EXP-9 F concept was less about design and more about gauging market reaction said CEO Wolfgang Schreiber in an interview with Automotive News at the Detroit Auto Show last week. Speaking of the planed production model Schreiber said it would more closely resembled the rest of the brand’s product lineup. “If you saw the styling,” he said, “you would say, ‘That is a real Bentley.'”

As for a decision, it is expected soon, with the new SUV model set to ride atop the same platform that underpins the VW Touareg, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.

If approved, the Falcon would take approximately three years to come to market and when it does look for a turbocharged V8 engine with an available twin-turbo W12.
