Lexus IS 300h Unveiled With 220 HP, Not For Sale in US

Although it won’t be heading to America anytime soon, the Lexus IS 300h made its European debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Pairing an electric motor with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, the IS 300h has a total system output of 220 hp while producing 99g/km of CO2 emissions in combined cycle driving, managing 65.7-mpg fuel consumption on the European cycle. Mated to the hybrid’s powertrain is an E-CVT transmission that enables the IS 300h to reach 62 mph in 8.3 seconds while sporting a top speed of 125 mph.

It’s worth noting that the sub-100g/km CO2 number was achieved on the IS 300h SE model, that has been fitted with 16-inch wheels. The IS 300h luxury grade is rated at 103g/km while the IS 300h F Sport and Premier models are rated at 109g/km.
