For the eighth straight year, Long Beach will play host to the Pirelli World Challenge as the race returns to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Only the GT and GTS classes will compete on the 11-turn, 1.968-mile street course.

Southern California local GMG Racing will look to build off its strong performance at St. Petersburg with its group of four Audi R8s, while the Cadillac team and Andy Pilgrim will look to defend their victory from 2012.

Qualifying first in GT was James Sofronas of GMG racing, with 2nd and 3rd spots going to Alex Figge and Randy Pobst respectively, both driving K-PAX Volvo S60s.
