Audi S7 Commercial Pits New Spock Vs Old Spock
You think Iron Man 3 and Fast & Furious 6 are the only blockbusters hitting the big screen in the near future? Star Trek Into Darkness is also right around the corner, which is the perfect time to enlist the help of Spock to show off the Audi S7’s newest technologies.
In the battle of new-school Spock vs. old-school Spock, Audi pits its S7 against a Mercedes-Benz CLS to show just how more advanced the Audi is compared to the “outdated” CLS. Zachary Quinto, who plays the new Spock in the recent films, is in the Audi while Leonard Nimoy, who played old Spock, pilots the CLS.
Though there’s a few Star Trek references in the commercial, non-fans can still get the humor in the ad, especially if you’re an Audi enthusiast. There’s even a cameo appearance of the self-driving Audi TTS that climbed Pikes Peak at the end.
