Jaguar is planning to move mainstream in 2015, launching new affordable models that will appeal to the mass market.

Hoping to mimic the success of sister brand Land Rover, Jaguar will be introducing lower-cost luxury models in the form of a compact sedan and crossover in the second half of 2015. Currently, the British automaker is known for its large sedans and sporty coupes, but will be expanding its range into the fastest growing segments in terms of global sales.

An official announcement about the new range is expected to come at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and will position Jaguar to go into direct competition with popular BMW models such as the 3 Series. The new range of vehicles are expected to be all-aluminum as seen on the recent XJ.
