Offering up a teaser video of its new compact crossover, photos of the Mercedes GLA have now leaked out.

The GLA shares much of its styling with the smaller A-Class and CLA-Class models. It’s clear now by seeing these photos that the GLA was heavily influenced by the Concept GLA that Mercedes unveiled earlier this year at the Shanghai Motor Show.

The car marks the fifth crossover/SUV in the Mercedes-Benz lineup.

Expect power to come from the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine found in the CLA model with around 200 hp and closer to 250 lb-ft of torque.

The GLA will make its official debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, but expect more official info on the new compact crossover in the coming days, especially now that these photos have leaked.

The concept look was a runaway success. The production was extremely disappointing from the outside. Next time please stick to the concept style.
