Toyota has announced that it will unveil a new “Hybrid R Concept” at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Unfortunately, the Japanese automaker remained mum as to what that concept will be other than saying that it “brings Toyota Hybrid System-Racing technology to the road.” With the recent experience Toyota has gathered racing its TS030 Hybrid Le Mans race car, it’s no surprise that the automaker wants to transfer some of that technology to its production vehicles. Ideally,it could be a glimpse of the sports car that is being jointly developed with BMW, one that is reportedly the successor to the Supra.
