Considering the Lexus GS got a major makeover for the 2013 model year, it’s no surprise Lexus simply refined its sedan for the 2014 model year.

The biggest change for the 2014 Lexus GS is a new eight-speed automatic transmission for the rear-wheel drive model, improving performance response and fuel efficiency. The 2014 Lexus GS 350 will still be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 306 hp. Another addition for 2014 is the new Siri Eyes Free mode, with technology from Apple. Compatible with the iPhone 4S and up, it allows drivers to access Siri without taking their eyes off the road.

Other minor changes for the 2014 GS models include flush-mounted sensors for available Intuitive Park Assist and a full color display added to the optional heads-up display. The blind spot monitoring system adds rear cross traffic alert and power-folding mirrors while the “luxury” package now includes LED fog lights and a “Superchrome” finish on the 18-inch wheels. Lexus also announced that the Lexus Night View system has been discontinued.
