Honda Civic Wagon Race Car Revealed for BTCC
Honda will once again compete in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) next season with the Civic, only this time the version of the car being used will be a wagon.
Last year, the Honda Yuasa Racing team captured both the teams’ and manufacturers’ crowns for the fourth year in the row while drivers Matt Neal and Gordon “Flash” Shedden narrowly missed out on the drivers’ crown. The eye-catching, all-new Honda Civic Tourer will look towards continuing the dominance on the track for Honda.

Testing on the new race cars will begin in January and they will make their race debut at Brands Hatch for the first round of the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on March 29.
“We’re all confident that the car can continue the long-standing success of the Civic in the championship and very much looking forward to putting it through its paces,” said Matt Neal. “Although we’re racing a new model, the inherent advantages of the Civic hatchback from the past two years remain so there’s no reason why this car can’t be a winner straight out of the box! We’ll be testing the car early in the new year and I can’t wait to see it on track.”
Honda will be the only manufacturer competing in BTCC using a wagon.
