Recent Audi trademark filings and applications reveal the potential future lineup of the automaker’s crossover and SUV models.

Now it’s common for automakers to trademark various nameplates to protect its property, but these filings line up with Audi’s recent concepts. The SQ2 trademark hints at a high-performance variant of the automaker’s upcoming Q2, which is likely to be the production version of the Audi Crosslane Coupe concept. An SQ4 trademark hints that Audi is also considering a competitor to the Range Rover Evoque.

And then there’s the Q9 trademark that previews the German automaker’s willingness to grow larger in the SUV segment, above its current Q7 offering.

Interestingly, Audi also trademarked f-tron, suggesting that the automaker is investing into fuel cell technology. Previously, Audi hinted that it was working on a fuel cell-powered A7 model.
