We let our readers decide, and based on your votes, the 2014 Cadillac CTS has been named the AutoGuide.com Reader’s Choice Luxury Car of the Year.

“Polling AutoGuide.com readers, as well as the over 30 million members on the over 400 automotive forums that make up the AutoGuide.com forum network, the Reader’s Choice Awards are about letting consumers pick their favorite new vehicles,” said AutoGuide.com Editorial Director Colum Wood.

The CTS is all new for 2014, and it adopts many of the interior amenities and design cues that were introduced on the smaller ATS. With three engine options, the CTS can be a fuel-efficient luxury cruiser, or a serious sports car in VSport trim.

“The front end has an elegant, modern, yet ‘old school’ luxury look that may be the defining moment in the evolution of Cadillac’s Art and Science design theme,” wrote AutoGuide Road Test Editor Mike Schlee.

A tough field full of German and Japanese competitors were running against the Cadillac, but the American marque managed to take home the win.

“I’m excited at the response this year, from AutoGuide readers and from our vast forum community,” Wood continued. “Social media also played a bigger roll than ever in encouraging interaction, resulting in three times as many responses for this year’s awards poll.”
