Later this month British racing legend James Hunt will be one of four drivers getting inducted into the Motor Sport Hall of Fame.

Regrettably Hunt will receive the award posthumously; he passed away back in 1993. His family will accept the accolade on his behalf.

Hunt is probably best remembered for his 1976 title fight with Austrian nemesis Niki Lauda, a race that Hollywood portrayed in the film Rush. Believe it or not Lauda has already been inducted into the Motor Sport Hall of Fame.

Hunt was a national icon for Britons during the 1970s. Even if they weren’t racing enthusiasts James Hunt was a household name.
