Dealers Rush to Grab Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

Chrysler dealerships have ordered over 8,000 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickups in the first weekend that they were able to do so.

Included in those orders across three days were over 400 diesel-powered half-ton pickups that have already been sold to customers. In addition, those 8,000 orders represents nearly half of the light-duty pickup’s normal monthly production.

The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel is expected to begin arriving dealerships within the next three weeks. The percentage of initial diesel orders by dealers is about double or triple what the automaker expected.
