Acura NSX Concept to Climb the Hill at Goodwood

Acura’s NSX prototype will be shown at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and it will be worth watching.

After making a piecemeal debut over the course of several auto shows, news that Acura intends to show its NSX concept car again almost seems redundant. But it isn’t because the company plans to drive the car up the famous hillclimb in front of a crowd, representing the first time Acura will have publicly displayed the concept in motion.

The production car is scheduled to go on sale in 2015 and, as you probably already know, uses a twin-turbo V6 and a three-motor electric hybrid system to power all four wheels. One of the electric motors works with the gasoline engine to drive the rear wheels through a dual-clutch transmission while the other two serve to spin the front tires.
