McLaren will be pausing production on its 12C model in order to satisfy the demand for the recently revealed 650S.

The British automaker expects that the majority of sales will shift to the 650S model from those that were previously interested in the 12C. Those that still prefer the 12C’s styling can order one, but McLaren remains optimistic that despite it will prove to be more popular despite the higher price. More importantly, the 650S will widen the gap between the upcoming entry-level P13 model from McLaren, which is due next year.
