Audi is readying the next hot hatch to join the German automaker’s lineup.

The Audi RS3 was spotted testing by AutoGuide‘s spy photographers in anticipation to a possible debut at this year’s Paris Motor Show. Compared to earlier mules that Audi has been testing, this appears to be a heavily camouflaged production version sporting an aggressive front bumper, large oval exhaust tips and slightly wider fenders.

The RS3 that was spied testing sounds like it is powered by a four-cylinder engine, which would match the latest rumors that suggest Audi is using the Volkswagen Group’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Most recently, Volkswagen debuted the hot Golf R 400 sporting 395 hp under the hood and it could be the same powerplant being used in the upcoming RS3.
