The seventh-generation Chevrolet Corvette family is about to get bigger.

The American automaker has confirmed that it will be bringing “a new variant of the seventh-generation Corvette” to this year’s New York Auto Show, in addition to the updated 2015 Cruze and a new addition to its small-vehicle lineup. As for what Chevy has planned for the Corvette Stingray, it remains a mystery.

Speculation hints that Chevy could be bringing an even more hardcore version of its Z06 to the show, with a more track-focused design. Though don’t be surprised if it’s merely a one-off model or a limited edition Stingray package.

It’s also unknown what the compact model is, but it could be a new Spark, or even the Chevrolet Trax, which is currently sold in Canada. Either way, tune into AutoGuide when the New York Auto Show kicks off on April 16 as we’ll be reporting live from the show floor.
