Would you believe it if we told you that the MINI Cooper T runs on a tea-leaf biofuel composite?

That’s exactly what MINI’s latest model is, which is capable of covering up to 40 miles on a single cup. Available in a variety of shades including Chamomile Yellow, Red Bush and Earl Grey, MINI enthusiasts will get the first taste of the revolutionary Cooper T at MINI Cotsworld Gloucester on April 1. In addition, the MINI Cooper T comes standard with Dunk Avoidance Technology (DAT) which is an ingenious filtration system that will stop owners from inserting biscuits into the MINI’s fuel tank in order to moisten their snacks.

“This particular project has been brewing for years,” said Dr. Ivana Kuppa, head of Cooper T engineering. “Our extensive research has shown that the nation’s favourite drink is also an ideal biofuel. We already know good things come in small packages, but with Cooper T customers benefitting from up to 40 miles per cup, we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring this car to market.”

Speaking of April 1, that’s also April’s Fools Day and if you for a minute thought the MINI Cooper T was serious, then the British automaker pulled one over you.
