Die-cast car maker Hot Wheels has taken one of its latest toy cars and blown it up into a life-size version, complete with a Chevy V8.

A collaboration between Hot Wheels and LucasFilm has resulted in an all-new lineup of Star Wars inspired toy cars, one of which the company decided to make into a life-size working car. The ‘Darth Vader Car’ is based on a Chevrolet Corvette C5 chassis and uses a tweaked LS3 V8 that’s good for 526 hp, though the car is limited to a top speed of about 80 mph for safety reasons.

Style on the car is supposed to mimic Darth Vader’s classic helmet, with the genuine carbon fiber grille resembling his mouth piece and the dark-tinted windshield serving as the eyes.

The car will be on display at Mattel’s booth at Comic-Con, to attract attention to the lineup of Star Wars-inspired Hot Wheels cars.
