Volkswagen Tiguan Recalled for Stalling Issue
The Volkswagen Tiguan has been recalled for a potential stalling issue.
A total of 189,490 Tiguan crossovers are affected in North America with 151,389 in the U.S. and 38,101 in Canada. Volkswagen said gas bubbles could potentially form in the vehicle’s fuel system when winterized fuel with high vapor pressures is used in warmer areas or during months with warmer temperatures.

As a result, the fuel pump could see a reduction in performance and pressure, potentially resulting in the Tiguan stalling, which could lead to an accident. The German automaker said that no accidents or injuries related to the issue have been reported.
The fix will be to install a revised electronic control module software on all affected vehicles at no cost and the recall will begin later this month.
