The most researched cars in AutoGuide.com’s vehicle shopping section this week was a mixture of compact crossovers and midsize sedans sprinkled with a sports car.

The Honda Accord was the most popularly searched car this week followed closely by the Jeep Cherokee compact crossover. Depending on how you configure the new native-named trucklet, it can be ideally suited for city driving or ready to tackle serious off-road trails.

But just behind it, the Toyota Corolla proved to be a not-so-surprisingly popular car among new car shoppers this week as well. It wasn’t Toyota’s only car in the list this week either because on top of that, the Scion FR-S was also a highly sought after new car.

Finally, the Ford Escape also made the list this week with a surge in searches near the end of the week that pushed it into the top five.
