AutoGuide Now For the Week of October 6
The Paris Motor Show is in the past and the future holds some very interesting new cars of all shapes and sizes. Check out what we’re testing this week in AutoGuide Now.
“Once again I am off to raise money with Rally North America for charity. Called the OV700, this is the annual fall navigational checkpoint rally. Since our team at this event will consist of four members, I went big; real big. I’ll be piloting a 2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali for the two day weekend event. How will it fare after hours on the twisting back roads of Ohio and West Virginia?” Cheer on @mikeschlee on Twitter.
“I originally planned to take the STI to our test for a comparison with the S3, but then last week I got an e-mail saying the Audi would be a no-show. Instead, I’m going to see what it’s really like to live with a four-door STI and a golden retriever on a long road trip. In essence, I’ll be making a plea to Subaru for why we need the hatch back.” Follow Luke on Twitter to see his impressions of the new Subaru WRX STI.
“For 2015, the Toyota Yaris received a very substantial refresh with a new look interior and exterior. While a new powertrain was left on the cutting room floor, I intend to see if this sub-compact can still compete with a four-speed automatic. If you have any questions about what its like to drive the Yaris, send me a tweet or two @Sami_HA.”
“The Evoque is a kinder, gentler off-road brute. This crossover is designed for well-heeled buyers that want all of the style and luxury Range Rovers are known for but in a more manageable and fuel-efficient package. The 2015 model promises to deliver all of this and more, especially now that it features a nine-speed automatic transmission. Do you have any questions about the Evoque? If so, shoot me a tweet @CraigCole and I will answer them.”
