The Opel Monza concept will strongly influence the styling direction of the next Insignia, sold in the U.S. as the Buick Regal.

Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann told Automotive News that the concept car (pictured), would be closely related to the next Insignia. “You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia,” he said.

Mark Adams, design boss for the German General Motors subsidiary, said the next Insignia will also adopt more premium values in order to elevate the brand. Needless to say, that points to a more premium product for Buick as well. Buick is expected to launch its next Regal sometime in 2017.
