The SRT Gran Turismo Concept might be the craziest addition to Gran Turismo 6 yet.

That’s saying a lot, considering how over-the-top other Vision Gran Turismo concepts have been, including the recent entry from Peugeot and the Chevrolet Chaparral. Nonetheless, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has released teaser images of the SRT Gran Turismo Concept, which is going to be called the Tomahawk and will incorporate a lot of carbon fiber throughout its body. The teaser images also reveal that the American automaker has gone with a race-inspired black and red theme for the concept that sees smooth edges contrasted by sharp, angular lines.

Then there’s the not two, not three, not four, but five exhaust tips protruding from the rear of the concept, hinting at some extreme performance from its hybrid powertrain. The only information FCA has released about the SRT Gran Turismo Concept is that it’ll be a single-seat hybrid powertrain concept vehicle and it’ll be exclusive to Gran Turismo 6 with more information coming once its officially unveiled.

It’ll be interesting to see if the SRT Tomahawk is as extreme as the Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision GT concept that is powered by an imaginary laser pulse propulsion system. If we had to guess, it is more likely that the SRT Gran Turismo Concept will use a more realistic hybrid powertrain than a science-fiction one, but possibilities are endless when you’re talking about a virtual machine, designed for a video game.
