After a cryptic tweet and teaser video declaring that “ the sky will never be the same,” photos of Lamborghini’s newest model, the Huracan Spyder, were leaked this morning, confirming that the new model is indeed on its way.

Rumored to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in less than two weeks, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, as seen in the leaked photo, will have a soft top roof and a redesigned rear end. A new rear will be needed to accommodate the folding soft top. According to Carbuzz, to whom the photo was leaked, they have confirmed that this photo is the real deal production model and not a computer render.

Earlier this year at Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini revealed its Aventador SV Roadster, which is 110 pounds heavier than the coupe model. Expect the Huracan Spyder to also be a bit heavier than the coupe version, but like the SV, there should be no impact on the car’s performance or the car’s structural integrity.

The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder was imminent, as the Italian automaker typically makes convertible versions of all its models. Keep an eye on AutoGuide.com, as we’ll be in Frankfurt and will bring you more information on the new Huracan Spyder when it is officially revealed at the show.
